Man found dead in Capitol Forest identified as 18-year-old from L.A.

OLYMPIA, Wash. — Authorities have identified the young man whose body was found last week in a state forest near Olympia.

Thurston County Coroner's Office says 18-year-old Dakota Walker, originally from Los Angeles, died of multiple gunshot wounds. The office says his body appears to have been put there by someone.

His body was discovered Oct. 20 in the brush of Capitol State Forest, about 10 miles southwest of Olympia near the entrance to Margaret McKenny Campground.

The Thurston County sheriff's office is investigating.
