SEATTLE — Facebook celebrated the opening of its new office in Seattle’s Westlake neighborhood Tuesday.

The social media giant opened its first Seattle office in 2010. Since then, it’s grown to become the company's largest engineering office outside of Menlo Park, California.

Employees there work on a range of new features as well as products such as Messenger and Games.

The new 150,000-square-foot office at 1101 Westlake Avenue North is the next phase in the company’s ongoing expansion, with room for more than 900 employees.

The company held a news conference followed by a tour.

Facebook says the new office shows its commitment to Seattle and its engineering community.
